Creator Tokens will naturally arise as NFTs, not ERC20s
Why?
The real value of a digital creator is in their work, just like an artist's is in their artwork.
In the physical world, an artist's work makes up a collection, like "Picasso"... 🧵
A painting can be seen as a "Creator Token" of an artist. If an artist becomes more famous, all of their paintings rise in value.
We can expand this concept by bringing their work on-chain as NFTs. When their work is on-chain, it'll naturally form a collection.
Each NFT Creator Token took time and effort to create, and represents something tangible.
By investing in a creator through an NFT Creator Token, you're directly investing in and owning their work, which is a concept that has existed for thousands of years
With @lensprotocol, this work can now take the form of art, music, photography, podcasts, or just text.
On-chain Creator Collections will be made up of many more types of work than just art
ERC20s as Creator Tokens are an interesting idea that may work, but they don't really have a traditional equivalent the way NFTs do (there's no Picasso stock).
Investing directly in an artist's "clout" seems more abstract, so it might take longer to catch on
People know that by buying an NFT, they're investing in a piece of work, and by extension... the artist.
Stay tuned for @youfolio.lens ! It's a platform for Creator Tokens on Lens. Launching soon 👀
Our third artist on The Don’t Ask roster—
Ghost of Inari— aka Degen Ghosty (b.1991) has always been a creative soul and never found her place until web3. She now explores any and everything that brings her joy or allows her to express herself. Taking notes from creepy Tim Burton movies, blending it with an anime twist and applying them to her character design are key elements in her work. She is a multi-chain artist and is currently focused on commissions and Degen Ghosty artworks. Be sure to follow her on her journey.

Introducing Don't Ask ❓️ to the World 🌍
At its heart Don't Ask reminds us that there are limits to what we can understand. Yet, despite these limits, "Don't Ask" is both a warning and an invitation, a challenge and a temptation, a mystery and a promise.
Don't Ask symbolizes a belief in the value of creative expression, exploring the boundaries of our understanding for the sake of art.
Only getting better
Appreciate the love as always bro
So happy I purchased this wonderful piece from @lazul.lens - he is the best artist I know - and his work speaks to me so much.
How does this piece make me feel ?
I feel as though - I, personally, in my life am entering a new chapter (new door) and leaving the darkness behind and stepping into a new colorful future- all while there is a higher power watching over me while I make this transition🕊
Some people believe in a higher power- some don’t- regardless how you feel - someone you once loved is watching over you, smiling and crying on how far you have came.
I have wanted to quit so many times. So many times I felt lost and alone.
But I know I’m doing this for something bigger than me. Something more powerful than me.
I shouldn’t be here today, but I am. And I will continue to strive for the goals I set for myself daily.
This life thing is not easy, for any of us - but what separates the haves from the have nots is the amount of times you are willing to pick yourself up from ground zero and try again to reach your goals.
This piece gives me hope.
