In a life that passes by in the blink of an eye
Where so many of our decisions are guided by their immediate implications
But consequences of our actions ripple endlessly through the currents of time
What are we doing now to honor those who come after us?
“You will be someone’s ancestor, so act accordingly” - my fav living poet, Amir Sulaiman
I’ll never forget being on a rooftop in Seoul, South Korea, and spotting a guy at the function wearing merch from a DAO I helped launch years beforehand.
Later, I learned he would not be in Seoul if my DAO members hadn’t onboarded him into crypto.
Impact proliferates
I’ve been outside touching grass
While simultaneously undergoing one of the biggest transitions of my life.
What about you anon?
How are you?
And are your arrows hitting their mark?
Last year I was in Australia when a wall caught my eye.
This year I was walking in Colombia when a rooftop caught my eye.
This is quite frankly, unbelievable , but as I was typing the original post, somebody’s shirt in the show I’m playing in the background caught my eye!
I believe all of these pieces are authentic pieces of art by Keith Haring.
Serving as a reminder to me, of how widespread and impactful the power of art can be.
This is what I’m working on for onchainsummer & buildspace.
Anybody else participating in either or both?
Just wrapped the first @buildspace call.
I now understand why one of my fav apps ( @orb ) was birthed here.
Let’s build.
Over the next few days, millions of Muslims around the world begin their pilgrimage to Makkah to fulfill the Hajj, one of the 5 pillars of Islam. 🕋
It is a blessed and honored occasion.
Communities and families will celebrate and send-off their loved ones with prayers and song.
During my last trip to Sierra Leone, I was gifted the physical copy of a poem I unearthed that was written by my great grandfather El Hajj Gibriel Seasay.
This poem is titled “Guidance for the Servants, to The Most Honored of Lands”
It is a poem he wrote full of advice and glad tidings to pilgrims from Sierra Leone embarking on their journey to Makkah.
Attached you will find a digitized version of the poem and me reciting it in the style of poetry I have heard Sene-Gambians reciting their poetry.

Clip 2: Black Muslims in Philly sending off their loved ones to Hajj
Clip 3: Me reciting my great grandfather’s poem
Grateful for this poem and how it connects me to my ancestor 🧵
(My partial translation of the poem 👇🏿)
It’s almost time.
My first contribution to OᑎᑕᕼᗩIᑎ ᔑᑌᗰᗰEᖇ is nigh.
Powered by @nounsdao x @artistprogram this project involves CC0 art, impact, and a poem.

Ran into auntie QB the honorable daughter of Malcolm X at Jerusalem Coffee House in Oakland.
It had been more than a year since I last saw her and I had no idea she was on this side of the country.
Loved being able to reconnect and share a bit about Web3 and The Tapestry 🧵
