Interesting. I'm trying to do single too, but it's being hard to use 11g in a single dose basket and get the same crema and texture that you get with a 18g dose. I don't wanna waste half of my shots just to get better texture...
Are you getting good results? Which exact dose do you use?
The espresso itself a bit acidic for my taste, might be ok because espresso shots usually have some acid notes. But I don't like espresso on its own, for black coffee I only like when it is filtered, more "lungo".
With milk the acidity disappears, this was basically a flat white recipe, and it tasted pretty damn good!
I don't think they have it but I have a scale to weight the beans before grinding them, so I mostly care about espresso precision grind settings and the quality of grinding basically
