Welcome to the french Pyrénées #touchinggrass
This is only 1,5 hours far from the 4th city of France. 😍
The very first time I created a company it was during my studies: I was planning electronic music parties in Paris & managing a couple of bands & producers.
@agoria.lens was (and still is) at the time a huge inspiration.
So good to see you here man!

I recently suffered a significant loss in #DeFi.
Here is how it happened & why I decided to share it. ⬇️
I simply did a mistake by setting the price when creating a pool on a DEX. ie, instead of setting ETH at 1800 USDC, I set ETH at 1/1800 USDC and got instantly arbitraged.
That's an example, hopefully the price difference wasn't that huge.
Now what's interesting to share is what happened when I realized my mistake.
My very first reaction was to blame the protocols UI for being unclear.
DERESPONSABILIZATION ❌
Then I insulted myself: "What an idiot!"... might even have been "What a fucking dumbass" to be honest.
SELF-CRITICISM ❌
Then I felt SHAME: "How come I make such a mistake as a DeFi instructor"
That might be a direct consequence of self-criticism: a degraded perception of my own value.
Finally, I felt INSECURE because of losing a decent amount of money.
I overcame this episode by starting with acceptance. I indeed lost money and there is nothing more I can do about it... except taking a lesson.
Being responsible for our assets is actually the reason why I love DeFi ♥️
Mistakes happen to anyone and it doesn't define their value.
I made that money before losing it, there is no reason I won't get it back.
I see DeFi a bit as practicing a sport involving elements such as the ocean or mountains: thrilling but dangerous.
Stay humble, and you're gonna be just fine.
I hope my experience can be useful to others, feel free to share if you believe it can 🙏
