Contentment comes from appreciation. Knowing this I remain constantly grateful for all the things mother earth gives. Every day I say a heartfelt “thanks” for giving me the capacity to learn and exist meaningfully.

It is natural to feel worry and tension in a difficult situation - or to run away from the situation altogether. Although this may work for a short time, it is not a solution.
We have to draw upon inner courage in order to meet the challenges head on. When we do this, we often realise it is not as bad as it first appeared.

When the past is mixed into the present, it prevents you from experiencing the happiness the present offers. So the question is how do you forget the past?
Focus your attention on that which is good in the present. Do not compare the present to the past.
Life experiences are like sentences - we are always looking for the full stop, the conclusion. It's OK to end a train of thought, but not thought itself. Thoughts are the beginning of our creation and are here to be creative.
Thoughts are like the magic carpet on which the soul rides across eternity - in reality, there are no endings, no conclusions. Rest for the spirit (which is what we are) is when we allow only the current of the purest thoughts to flow through our mind - thoughts which carry good wishes and blessings for ourselves and others.
This is not so much going with the flow, as being in the flow, and being refreshed by the flow. It is how we refresh ourselves. For when we have powerful, positive thoughts for and about others, who experiences them first?
There is some darkness in most human minds today, so there is a darkness component in most scenes and situations. Why else is there so much unhappiness and sorrow in the world?
The more good wishes and kind feelings we have for others, the more our own happiness increases.
The greatest mistake - Giving up
The greatest crippler - Fear
The greatest handicap - Ego
The most potent force - Positive
The greatest thought - God
The greatest victory - Victory over the self
Is life an obstacle course? Sometimes it may feel like it. If you join the military you will be sent around an obstacle course of increasing degrees of difficulty. Why? To increase your strength and stamina and expand your creative capacity under strain.
The one who knows the art of connecting to others is successful. When someone is not behaving well, we tend to alter our attitude, response and behaviour toward that person. We wait for the other person to change, before changing ourselves.
When I know the art of perceiving others' specialities and connecting to them, I will always be successful.
