SOO excited to launch the first NFT from WKSHP (www.wkshp.xyz/),,) a group of friends making art and exploring how to release it into web3.
Presenting 'Lights' by @sydmusic.lens & ATW, a generative audiovisual piece out now on Async.
Big love to everyone building and exploring different ways to create and release art, and to the many folks that lent us a hand as we embarked on this project. In an art ecosystem that is wonky and shifting, I truly think the punkest thing you can do right now is just make and buy art. Proud to be doing that w/ dope, generous folks.
If you dig what we're laying down, we would love for you to grab one. But also, I see everyone in the web3 ecosystem supporting so many artists, and that rules so hard. Make more weird things! Support things you connect with! Share the joy of art in any way you can!

Not the doom/dub style crossover you were talking about in your latest newsletter @motiveunknown.lens -- but the Sabbath cross you posted makes me think you might like this latest take on Planet Caravan from Psychic Temple. Buncha total rippers playing in this band, including Jeff Parker going off on a long solo. A+++ stuff!

As good a time as any to share my own music (under the name Fine Form), and a link to my artist hub over on Nina. Big ups to Nina for being my personal favourite music NFT platform -- they value creating tools that help artists create context around their work above all else, and it shows. <3 <3
I chatted w/ the wonderful folks at Byta / byta.com about my process of music listening and discovery!
w/ shouts out to my favs for music curation and discovery!
Byta rules btw - go check it, artist pals!โค๏ธโ๐ฅ๐
Perfect fall weather and Friday morning coffee pairing: A recent recording of Joan Shelley and her wonderful band live at Colony in Woodstock recorded by nyctaper.

Digging in on this new Deluxe edition of Wilco's classic 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot', and am pretty enamoured with a few of the alternate versions. This take on Hummingbird is a complete departure from the piano groove of the original release, but the weird obtuse guitar line that comes in periodically is kinda doing it for me.

New jams from Joseph Shabason (another friend and grant client!) and Nicholas Krgovich are smooth as silk. New age meets jazz meets psychedelic. Big thumbs up from me!

Nick Cave's newsletter continues to be a must read:
"In my experience, inspiration is not something that finds you, or offers itself to you, nor for that matter is faith. Inspiration and faith are similar in so far as they both ask something of us. They each require real and constant practical application."
Latest lengthy blog post from Penny Fractions / David Turner is a must read on the history of the transition into digital music, and how the popular narrative of piracy breaking everything doesn't quite nail the reality of what happened. A must-read if you're someone building solutions for music in web3. Know your history, folks!
Working with a new grant client, Anna B Savage, and am utterly blown away by their latest release. One of those first-listen, mind blown, play on repeat a zillion times experiences right here:
