Despite a lot of controversy and discussion, Camelot DEX has decided to move ahead with the temp-check vote on their "Accelerating Arbitrum - Leveraging Camelot as an ecosystem hub to support native builders" proposal.
I had previously shared my feedback / objections on this in Arbitrum forums, as many others did as well. And to Camelot's credit, they did make some adjustments in the proposal to accommodate some of those objections. However, the totality of the proposal just doesn't fit right with me, whether on how I envision the DAO treasury to be utilized, or how a liquidity incentivization program be executed.
Arbitrum grew to be the largest L2 by TVL not by incentivizing liquidity, but by attracting the right teams that built sticky, innovative products. By putting Arbitrum DAO's eggs in Camelot's basket in this way would send a clear message to all other DEX innovators to go find another L2 and become THEIR "liquidity hub". That's not good for Arbitrum, and not good for DeFi innovation where the focus is on incentivized TVL rather than innovation, organic growth & retention of that TVL.
I see liquidity incentivization as little more than short-term bribes to artificially inflate vanity metrics. And therefore, as a delegate, I have decided to vote AGAINST this proposal.

Wouldn't that be awesome if this place became a bit more real thanks to Elon Musk?
Just voted "yes" on Fantom Pool Windup proposal on Stargate. Don't see the point in maintaining increased exposure while getting no innovation in return.
I just voted "Deploy Bridge To ZKSync" on "Deploying the Synapse Bridge onto ZKSync" snapshot.org/#/synapseprotocol.eth/proposal/0x02e09bc82a83679fd42524bc0727e6d369df6c4ab3aae3314994b49632fad31e #snapshotlabs
