Collect auctions are now possible with “Smart Auctions”! You can finally create digital collectibles on Lens and sell them at auction. The options for monetizing your content on Lens keep expanding. 🌿

What are Smart Auctions, and what makes them so smart?

• Smart Auctions work just like regular Collects, giving you the ability to easily tokenize your posts.
• Bidding on a Smart Auction is gasless. Thanks to Lens Open Actions, you can bid on an auction with only a signature!
• NFTs created with Smart Auctions are not hidden in OpenSea and are visible in popular wallets, unlike regular Lens Collect NFTs.
• The NFT contract is owned by the author, allowing for proof of creation, collecting onchain royalties, and more.
• The auctions are 100% onchain and part of your social graph.
• Auctions don’t start until the first bid is placed and are automatically extended after the last bid to prevent sniping.
• Smart Auctions can easily be adopted by any Lens app, permissionlessly, since they’re built on the Open Actions protocol.
