Social element is the key to keeping gamers hopelessly addicted. Leaderboards, team-up magic, free-flowing trades, etc., hooks gamers.

      To a point. But there is also burnout. Just ask anyone trying to get the Diamond League Champion badge on Duolingo )). It鈥檚 such a delicate balance between setting up strong social hooks and frustrating the gamer to go find a less annoying game.
