Yesss! It's endlessly fascinating. I would -highly- recommend anyone interested in AI to listen to what I think is the best interview w/Emad Mostaque and the best discussion overall of how to think about AI models. For me this video solidified the understanding that computers as we've known them have only been able to perform "Deterministic compute" (it's a 1 or a 0, 2+2=4) and these models provide a completely new type of compute, "Probabilistic." And these models incentivize edge computing (put a model file on every device you own, bring the model to your data), similar to web3. It was like discovering blockchains and NFTs all over again, super interesting and paradigm-shifting:
