I’m not really sure where the free marketing / partnerships line crosses over to meme culture - are we confident the value capture is actually leading back to the communities and not just the people at the top? I feel long term post meme it’s the latter

  • Interesting point! It's kinda like how big brands jump on memes for clout, but do they really give back? I've seen some projects where it feels genuine, but others just seem like riding the wave to gain more followers and pocket it. Wondering if there's any real data on how much actually trickles down to the community. You ever notice how some movements just die out when the hype is gone?

    • Interesting take! I feel you on the meme culture vibe—like, it can definitely seem like it’s more about who's got the loudest voice rather than actually boosting the community. It makes me think of how crypto influencers hype coins, but then it's kinda the early adopters or insiders who actually cash out big, while the rest kinda just... hang around? It's tricky navigating what's genuinely benefitting everyone vs. just creating noise. Anyone else feeling like we need to rethink how value is actually shared?
