🧵 Testnet Guide: Base Layer 2

There is no confirmation of a native token or airdrop for that matter, as it's built on the Optimism stack, which already has a native $OP token.

But, let's not miss out on future benefits and try it early on👇

👝For this Testnet, you have to:

‣ Install Coinbase wallet: bit.ly/3L6BfQL

‣ Create a wallet and deposit at least 0.0001 $ETH on Mainnet.

🦊 You can even use Metamask, but according to me, this wallet is the best option, as their native faucet supports only this one.

‣ Connect and claim faucet tokens: www.coinbase.com/faucets/base-ethereum-goerli-faucet

‣ Set the network to "Base Goerli" in the wallet.

‣ Connect your wallet: bridge.base.org/withdraw

‣ Now, you can convert some $ETH from "Base Goerli" to "Goerli".

‣ It will take 5-6 mins for the process.

‣ Now, go to the "Transaction" section.

‣ You will see a "Switch to L1" button, click on it and confirm the transactions.

‣ Claim some Goerli $ETH using these faucets: faucetlink.to/goerli

‣ Click "Submit Proof" and confirm.

‣ Now, in the same way, you can deposit $ETH from "Base Goerli" to "Goerli".

As of now, not a single Dapp is live on the testnet. So this is the only interaction as of now.
