Lonkero

Long drinks, no doubt a Finnish gem, first made their appearance at the Helsinki Olympics in 1952. Can you believe they were meant to be a limited-time treat just for the Games? Well, the Finns got hooked. The drink's popularity soared, and they decided to keep it around long after the Olympics ended. Nowadays you can get Lonkero on tap in most bars in Helsinki.

Occasionally they introduce new flavors to keep things exciting. It all began with the original grapefruit flavor, but since then, they've had some real hits. I still remember that one summer when cranberry lonkero was all the rage. This year, it's all about the pineapple (which didn't quite tickle my taste buds, but apparently, it's been a massive hit).

I once brought a six pack of this orange one as a souvenir from Finland to my friends, and although it was over 10 years ago, my friend still won’t stop talking about it haha!
