Most audio/video content on the web doesn't have captions, and a very well known service offers mostly inaccurate AI generated captions, which makes web2 a not very inclusive and accessible place to be. On top of that, adding captions to a publication usually boost engagement as well, and long form captions can be remixed in smaller formats. Want to build the next Tiktok on web3? The next Spotify? Good luck without captions, lyrics and transcriptions, the UX will be terrible 👀
To onboard the next billions, we need an inclusive, free and open platforms for quality captions. Grimoire is a take on that statement. Grimoire was in our heads for a while now (we need it in Rally!), so it was nice to hack something and learn new stuff down the road.
