Musicians don’t need NFTs per se, it’s just part of the picture. They want the benefits of blockchain in payments and most importantly in social infrastructure.
The main problem for all my "indie musician" friends is the complex process of "officially" uploading their music to the catalog of popular services. There are a large number of intermediaries and huge commissions, we have all seen the infographics from Sound.
In total, musicians need an infrastructure that will allow them to record ownership of their recordings, conveniently sell them digitally and on physical media, and sell merch. By reducing the number of intermediaries, the protocol's fees can be quite low while still allowing the platform to be profitable.

  • As a poet this is exactly the same things I'm looking for to support my work. Then include community management in that it's the complete package.
