0Tragic. Doesn't help that there has been so little acknowledgement of them when it comes to airdrop criteria. Almost certainly galaxy OATs have appeared in more criteria.

2Like some others have mentioned, the initial use case idea was great, But don’t see any projects incorporating that into their platforms… I collected so many POAPs in 2021 but barely any since.. maybe if there was project/protocols that used them some way then they gain interest again

1No clear use cases means that they've been relegated to fad status. I liked the idea of them and I think the concept will resurface in some guise, but there needs to be a clearer end goal.
Also hard for brands to monetise, whereas they can earn revenue with QR codes -> collects
4Maybe a lack of interest in claiming "I was there for it " memorabilia? poaps could be an interesting indicator of wider blockchain adoption. Right now they are predominantly tech oriented i believe. If they start getting associated with events like concerts for example, it could lead to exponential growth.
