150M tourists travel to the mediterranean during peak summer. Forest fires, water shortages and rammed crowds expected. First time I hear people cancelling their travel plans because of heat and crowds.
The fact is that its cheaper to fly to the mediterranean from London than to drive to the UK coast. Cheap flights killed the UK seaside travel completely over the past decades. Hopefully we will see this trend change and see some of these seaside towns see more traction.
