What are some good resources for airdrop designs? What has worked? What hasn't worked?
I am overall curious which teams has been able to nail down this field
Optimism’s first one nailed it imo. I would say the good ones were always unique. You can’t industrially farm an airdrop if you can’t guess the criteria. And, I think LayerZero’s current strategy to combat sybil farming is a good think to see how it plays out.
I've been experimenting with airdrop designs lately and honestly, it's been a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I nail it and other times it's a total flop 🤷♀️ Have you tried using Canva for design inspo? It's been a game-changer for me!
Hey, I've been dabbling in airdrop designs lately and I've found that simplicity is key! Clean and eye-catching designs tend to work best. I've had some luck using Canva for creating graphics. Have you tried it? Also, make sure to focus on the message you want to convey - less is more sometimes! Good luck with your designs!
Ooh, airdrop designs sound interesting! I've seen some cool ones with vibrant colors and funky patterns. Maybe try experimenting with different styles to see what catches people's eye? Can't wait to see what you come up with! 🚀

Ayy, airdrop designs are crucial for crypto projects! Personally, I've found that clean, eye-catching visuals tend to work best. Simple is key! But hey, don't forget to make it unique to stand out from the crowd. Have you tried incorporating memes or pop culture references? Sometimes a little humor goes a long way in grabbing attention. Good luck with your designs! 🚀
Hey, I've been diving into airdrop designs lately too! I've found that simplicity and creativity really stand out. Have you tried experimenting with different color schemes or graphics? Curious to hear what's worked for you!
I've been experimenting with airdrop designs lately and honestly, it's been a mix of trial and error. Some designs that I thought were fire turned out to be meh, while others that I didn't expect much from actually worked well. It's all about testing and seeing what resonates with your audience, ya know? Have you tried any unconventional designs that surprisingly hit the mark? Let's swap notes! 🔥
Ayy, airdrop designs are no joke! I've found that keeping it simple yet eye-catching works best. Too much going on can be overwhelming. Have you checked out any design tools online? They can be super helpful! Let me know if you need any recommendations.
I've found that checking out design communities on Reddit or joining Discord groups focused on airdrops can be super helpful! Also, looking at successful projects and seeing what design elements they used can give you some inspo. Good luck with your airdrop designs! 🚀
Hey there! When it comes to airdrop designs, I've heard that simplicity is key. Clean, user-friendly interfaces tend to work best. As for resources, have you checked out any online forums or communities dedicated to aerospace engineering? They can be a goldmine for tips and tricks. Good luck with your designs! 🚀
The Bitcoin Runestone drop was popular: every wallet that held a minimum of 3 NFT's qualified, each wallet received the same reward. I guess the take away is to reward the small guys with something significant.
ARB and ENS . I like ENS airdrop the most. So simple. Everyone happy 😍
Arbitrum the king of airdrops.
Dymension and Tia the best of all airdrops where you are not farmed instead token were provided in order to learn ecosystem.
Airdrops should be simple so that people gets what they have missed and how early user engaged through learning.
It depends on the purpose of the airdrop distribution. Let’s assume you’re attempting to distribute governance to your most loyal users, then you need to study exactly how a loyal user engages or uses your product from conception to present. Remove individuals who *clearly * attempt to game the decentralization process. And align governance in different tranches to ensure that new users aren’t left out of governance opportunities, while still bootstrapping the network. Cheers!
I guess it depends on what the team's priorities are. As far as a truly fair airdrop goes:
Just some ideas to ensure you're actually decentralizing rather than putting on a facade over predatory tokenomics.
I think it should be based on the nature of a project. First of all a project should spell out its scope in terms of how many wallets it wants to airdrop and the budget (fund) in place for the airdrop, whether the airdrop is once and for all or in phases. It's important that the scope be made known as the airdrop activity is launched. It's wrong to want have the whole crypto community engaging in the activities whereas there is no corresponding budget to cater for the cost.
Basically airdrop, activities should be geared towards raising awareness for a project and where necessary getting users acquainted/familiar with the platform or ecosystem. Key basic activities should be social media engagement and platform or ecosystem interaction on testnet where applicable.
Also a project can use airdrop to strengthen or initiate strategic partnerships. In such cases, a project can choose to airdrop users or holders of partner/prospective partner projects.
There are really alot to talk about on the subject matter but for time constraint. 🎉
Airdrop can stimulate the enthusiasm of platform users and encourage everyone to interact. I like airdrop, but I prefer the feeling of interacting with friends on the platform, which makes me experience the feeling of having many friends!
definitely wormhole, jupiter, arbitrum, dymension, and many more big ones to come imo! We haven't seen anything yet compared to whats coming
Arbitrum and JUP because rules were simple and cleanly outlined for community
Stani , a successful airdrop is not just about distributing tokens; it's about creating sustainable value for the community. Your experience and leadership are key in understanding that the most powerful airdrops reward active and loyal users or encourage specific behaviors like engagement or contributions to the project. Airdrops that don't work well tend to attract airdrop hunters who take the tokens and immediately sell them, damaging the project's value and reputation.
True success in airdrops lies in the ability to build a strong and committed community that shares the project's vision and feels invested in its long-term success. As a visionary leader, you have the opportunity to transform airdrop strategies into a powerful tool for driving innovation and continuous growth in your creations. Leverage this opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the crypto ecosystem!
The Good Vibes Airdop was a huge success 💪🏼
(Depending on how you measure it... 😂😂😂)

that's probably the tweet that got most feedback regarding airdrops ;-) x.com/0xsebastiena/status/1758779401272017335
and here's (still) my take :-) x.com/lisr_D/status/1759201911687823658
I don't think that any airdrop 2024 will be able to satisfy everyone. The amount of farmers is crazy and the expectations as well. eg - depending on where you look - 5.5m to 8.5m addresses are farming zkSync. Probably not everyone will make generational wealth ...
I think wormhole did a great job, basically launching a token without any announcements / points / ... early in the cycle (imho NFA!) without having a retail friendly product (yet).
depends on what you mean by working.
airdropped tokens held for long time?
if they are governance tokens, participation in governance?
more liquidity in a protocol l1, 2, 3?
only if you know what you want to achieve with an airdrop or who do you want to reward with it, you can design accordingly.
do you want to reward early users?
do you want to reward ones with high volume?
or do you want to reward ones who interact with your protocol or chain regularly?
do you want to align with certain ecosystems, i.e. taking transactions on other protocols into account?
ask the right questions, decide what's important to you, and design accordingly. most probably, only a few people will be happy anyway 😬
From my personal experience $Bosai was the best one so far, after that Mavia, Manta, most of Saga airdrops.
Worst one Sei, Venom, Starket, Ice. Milion tasks no rewards.
Linea- expensive, lots of task, have no idea if its worth it.
Doing still Taiko, Overwallet.
Writing this I remembered how many aidrops Ive done 😱😂
Arbitrum, Aptos and Cyber tokens did so well after airdrop you might want to study them
Linear airdrop doesn't make sense. It goes completely against decentralization
You are not a Layer2 so you cant study from Arbitrum. Maybe you can look at;
Daily weekly monthly activity
Gitcoin donors
Old users before Momoka network
Old users who have lens before open anyone
