I have already made the move to Rabby Wallet, I haven't looked back yet. The only downside is that Metamask is usually more supported than Rabby is at the moment. However, I suspect this will change in the coming future
Testnet basically 🤣. I only use MetaMask fr this 🤣. Every other on chain activities I make use of Zerion, OKX , rabby , Uniswap and rainbow 😎
Nothing - not used MM in years now. Walletconnect is a pain but much prefer wallets like SafePal, Trust and Ethereum Family
Cuz metamask is slow and no scam alert
Prefer rabby and okx wallet, security alerts and automatic network switching
Just stuck with my first pick. I wish Phantom was compatible with more eth dApps, Metamask is painful in comparison
Tested Rainbow, low chain support.
Currently using Rabbit. I like all the functionalities, but think that the UI is too busy. Metamask folks spent years refining the wallet, it's no secret why it's so hard to move from it.
I use mostly Rainbow on mobile and have just installed Rabbit on laptop. But keeping MetaMask as a backup. Overall it seems like a low hanging fruit to develop a wallet to rule them all.
Dapp support. Rabby and Zerion are awesome but sooner or later you run into a dapp that that supports neither. Also, testnets.
On mobile though, Zerion is the undisputed choice.
habit, and because it seems to be a market standard (it's very similar to the issue of browsers) and certainly because I don't have the true ability to evaluate better options in relation to security and so on...
I have migrated for Long time!
I think the most user-friendly EVM wallet are:
1-Rabby wallet
2-imtoken wallet
im using rainbow but the lack of custom networks is sometimes not great
on desktop : frame.sh
on mobile : various
metamask should be a LAST CHOICE wallet.
nothing stopping me from trying alternatives
ever since i learnt how unsafe metamask actually is.
i consider orange fox a last resort ( some dAPP devs don't know any better and that's fine )
I have multiple wallets due to certain sites accept certain wallets or certain tokens, crypto, mainnets, etc. too many.
On mobile, MM is often the only one that connects somewhat smoothly via Wallet Connect. The only reaosn I have it installed.
On browser, I use it's custom network feature for more exotic stuff sometimes. When Rabby adds that, there will be no reasons to keep MM whatsoever.
not all other wallets are as widely used, so when you test out new dapps they don't always connect correctly.
Moved away to Zerion only cause I did a product roast of their app and had to start using them.
I think it comes down to being lazy to see what’s out there. You can’t really get a feeling of a better wallet until you onboard and onboarding to a new wallet takes time and can be stressful if you have never done it before.
UX mainly. I’ve tried a few other wallets and they’re trying to do too much. I just want a simple EVM compatible wallet
Rabby for PC works smooth, and Zerion... I'm digging it everyday more and more... But I think I will keep my Metamask... "Just in case", you know 😜 For Lens on mobile I've found Metamask to be the best connecting wallet... I've had issues with Trust, Zerion, and SafePal so yeah... Metamask stays a bit longer.
