Not sure 🤔I’m still pro gradually building culture of the ecosystem and phased out on boarding otherwise without that flow it might just become a wild Wild West of “hi, new place to shill, buy my Nft” fest again -
Although as a founder building on lens opening it up would defo mean potentially more users but I’m just very bullish on a mix of organic growth with thought out addition to the sweet pool of people we have here!
I really enjoyed the onboarding I got with @bradorbradley.lens and @mirran.lens via the creator cohort
Yess..
But please make sure to prevent the Garden from the bots.
lens has lost his hype in previous time....let it regain otherwise most of the user would unaware about the fact that lens has got public
Yes please if it is ready from technology end
Else please don't mess atleast what we have right now
It's been a year.... unless we're going for the Google eternal beta approach
my admittedly inexperienced growth hacking intuition says: needs one more big push to capture a diverse group of dedicated content creators
Momoka seems ready 💪 🌿 😎Nevertheless, i agree to some other comments that 🤖s are a problem. On the other hand thats an arms race on every other platform too, isn't it?
No, not this time. Now is not the time to have a emergent effect.
Social in crypto needs an emergent effect.
to be honest with you i can't really convince my friends to come and try Lens i mean friends from outside of crypto community although i can invite them they don't really know how to use wallet it's not that seamless for them they prefer something like instagram or twitter it's hard to convince people when they don't really appreciate their ownership of contents. i still saved my invites for them i think i have to meet them in person to help them to join:)) so yea if lens get open to everyone it probably mostly will be used with crypto community.there is lots of awesome person outside of this community but it is really hard to bring them here.
It should open up more, but not all at once, because:
➡️ There's no solution to handle bots, yet.
➡️ Major apps need to evolve more UX and performance wise. It's still a mess, largely.
➡️ Key infra/functions still missing or in beta.
Opening up should be managed (for now, first batch of waitlists to "likely humans" with social presence and more invites to existing users makes sense).
IMO, it should have been done already; exclusivity has a time and place (literally what someone one on your core team complained about recently) ... If you think about every major platform shift as a kind of pond, and the pond is stocked with opportunities, it will get fished out over time. The best opportunities over time will get taken, and there's always this question of why this idea is still available to the founder to be exploited.
Most in the VC world, at least in my sphere, agree that crypto is DOA as what it was pushed as. Until we have some more niche mass-needed uses, such as AI bank accounts to conduct transactions on an entity's behalf, most of the grifters have robbed the soul of the movement. You have low-level late-to-the-party grifters and core believers left looking for PMF, which in all honesty, both look extremely similar.
let's send another big invite push this month, get data on usage, build, sustain and open for all by EOY
Sure, but if you don't have a solid anti-bot / sybil system, it'll be a huge mess, just like Twitter.
Sure! But did you find an efficient way to avoid massive volume of fake accounts minting?
