8/ On the other side of the Vltava River is Karlín, an area that was substantially damaged by the 2002 flood, leading to the demolition of many historical and residential buildings.
Now, it's a modern district, providing a contrast to remaining structures like Kasárna Karlín or Karlin Barracks, which have been also repurposed into community and cultural hubs. ☕️🌿💃

7/ If you attended last year's event, you probably recall Štvanice Island, home of Bike Jesus. It's a great space for various forms of recreation, parks, revamped industrial buildings like Fuchs2, and a bike park. 🚲

6/ With a sprawling structure spanning multiple buildings and spacious outdoor areas nestled between them, Holešovice Market is very intertwined with the surrounding areas and nature. 🌿

🦢🦆 Its riverside location provides easy access to the water. You can enjoy a walk along the river or cross the newly built pedestrian bridge to Štvanice Island and Karlín.

5/ These spaces are also perfect for hosting events and fostering community and artistic growth. 🎭🎨
🙌 The preservation and renovation of these buildings hold vast potential and purpose for the city and its communities.

4/ Despite many old buildings being demolished or slated for demolition, some factory structures have been revamped, and we see tremendous potential in them.
We are particularly fond of Holešovice Market, or the former meat market, where slaughterhouses have been repurposed into art galleries, workshops, theaters, coffee shops, and one of the best fresh produce markets. 🍎🥬🖼️☕️

3/ 🏭 Once home to numerous factories and industrial workers, this area wasn't always a pleasant place to live, due to the overwhelming factory smoke and limited recreational opportunities.

But it has undergone significant transformations over time, and Holešovice is brimming with new energy and hip vibes these days. 🌱

2/ As an event focused on Solarpunk values, we highly admire recycling and repurposing. ♻️

✨ This is why we have a special appreciation for Holešovice or Prague 7, a former industrial area that has been transformed into one of the most creatively repurposed and coolest areas in Prague.

1/ 🗺️ This year, we invite you to delve deeply into Prague's authentic character, complex history, and hidden facets. We aim to expose these often overlooked aspects through the venues and additional side activities.

📍 That’s why we're bringing the event to the Holešovice Market!
