My friend (a woman) and I organized an event exclusively featuring female engineers as speakers, aimed at supporting women engineers who are a minority in the field. Two men were also involved in the event. This event was held twice before COVID and was well-received by many engineers.

Today, we found out that the event is happening again without any notice to us, the female organizers. The men involved have been proceeding with the plans on their own.

I was shocked, but the other female engineer felt differently. She said she was happy they went ahead with the event on their own since organizing it can be difficult. But I feel sad.
