Prometheus was a Titan, the creator of humanity and banished by Zeus for giving humans the gift of fire

As punishment for giving the humans this divine gift, Prometheus was chained to a mountain, forced to endure an eagle flying down and eating his liver straight from his body, every single day for the rest of time.
