馃搷 Launch of Lens (May 2022)
Lens Protocol was launched in May 2022 as a decentralized, open-source social graph that enables users to control everything from their profiles to their posts, ownership of their followers, where they want to distribute their content and how they want to monetize it.
馃搷 Momoka Launch (April 2023)
Prior to the release of V2, Lens Protocol launched 'Momoka', a scaling solution designed to speed up transactions while reducing costs by handling them off-chain.
馃搷 Launch of V2 (November 2023)
Lens Protocol announced its second version, which includes new features for developers and app creators, such as Open Actions. This feature allows users to execute actions, like minting an NFT directly from a Lens post without visiting the external site.
馃搷 Randomized Lenny Profile NFTs (Dec 2023)
In December 2023, Lens Protocol announced that everyone would receive randomized Lens Profile NFTs. Each of these Lenny NFTs is different from each other and has been distributed to all Lens frens.
馃搷 Shift to a Permissionless Lens (Feb 2024)
In Feb 2024, Lens Protocol transitioned to a permissionless model, which means it allows anyone to join and build on the platform by creating an on-chain NFT for their profile.
