Is it common to Mint NFT collections directly as Polygon NFT with a collection contract? Or is there a way to have an NFT Collection with Lens Protocol contract as well somehow?

Wow, all these NFT collection contracts and Polygon NFTs are making my head spin! It’s like trying to understand a foreign language without a translation app. Maybe we need a NFT Rosetta Stone to decipher all this crypto jargon! But seriously, I hope someone smarter than me can answer your question

Creating a typical NFT collection on Lens is difficult right now. Here are some of the reasons:

      1. You cannot change the name of the collection/token, it will always be something like "username.lens-collect-n" and "name-Cl-n".
      2. The NFT contract is not actually created until the first person collects the post. This causes OpenSea to think that the first collector is the creator of the contract and gives them the ability to edit the name shown on OS, description, graphics, URL, and even add royalties to sales.
      3. All Collect NFTs have the same metadata, so every token ID will have the same assets.

I'd love to see this addressed at some point. Making the creation of Polygon NFT collections as simple as posting on Twitter appears to be a huge opportunity. You can certainly create your own Collect Module that would allow for solving most of these issues, but we can currently only use pre-approved modules and I don't believe that third party ones are considered for approval while Lens is in beta.
