Introducing the first two artists in our LAS CALIFORNIAS series (1/2)

About the project: Every month - one artist from the US side and one from the Mexico side will make art inspired by our music. We are here to melt borders and celebrate interdependence.

Victoria Cunanan is a portrait photographer based in Las Californias as she connects with artists from Tijuana to LA. She is Filipino-Mexican and first generation American, which explains her curiosity to photograph people from all backgrounds and cultures. Victoria spends a lot of her time exploring different identities through travel, music and photography. Her mission is to spread joy and empowerment through her storytelling.

Victoria Cunanan es fotógrafa basada en Las Californias, conectando con artistas desde Tijuana hasta Los Ángeles. Ella es Filipina-Mexicana y Americana de primera generacion, lo cual explica su curiosidad a tomarle fotos a gente de antecedentes y culturas diversas. Victoria pasa mucho tiempo explorando diferentes identidades a través de la fotografia, sus viajes, y la música. Su mission es a propagar alegría y empoderamiento por los cuentos de sus fotos.
