Looking through my old photos….I took this photograph over 20+ years ago on Mulburry Street in Memphis, TN. It’s now home of The National Civil Rights Museum. On April 4, 1968, I was in first grade living in Memphis. It happened one day after his speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop”. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel.

I love when a photograph looks old, not only because of what it portrays but also because of the colors and style. I think it gives it a lot of character.
