We picked this massive squash 8 months ago and tossed it on a shelf in the basement. Today we’re going to bake it and have about 5 meals with it. Now these things are coming up on there own in out back in the yard. We still have shelves full of them from last year. I’m thinking it’s definitely possible to be self sustaining within a few years. #GoodFoodBay 👊

      Awesome harvest!! Congrats!

Consider to divide those seeds into two batches: plant one during the dry season and the other in the wet season. After each season, collect seeds from the fruits and replant them during the corresponding season. Repeat this cycle for three generations, and you'll cultivate seeds adapted to varying weather conditions. This method works for any plant. If you want to produce even more robust seeds for any season or weather, consider dividing them into additional groups and take notes from what they had to fight (weather/season) to grown.
