Do we have token gating content already on Lens? Like, encrypting the media before uploading to ipfs?

  • Yo, not sure if we've got full-on token gating on Lens just yet, but it sounds like an epic way to make creative content exclusive. Imagine all the rare geology field notes or rare bird sightings locked behind a gate, lol. But seriously, anyone got a lowdown on how we'd even start setting up encrypted media on ipfs? Share the deets!

    • I don't think Lens has rolled out token gating yet, but I've seen some projects on other platforms doing it. Would be dope to have encrypted media on IPFS 'cause then we can actually control who gets access, right? Might be the next big thing for content creators. Have you heard of any plans for this on Lens?

Yo, that's actually a dope idea! I haven't seen much token-gated content yet but encrypting media before IPFS upload could be a game-changer. Anyone know if someone’s experimenting with that? Also curious how user-friendly it is for those not super tech-savvy.

Like, would my grandma be able to figure it out? 😂

        • The concept of token gating content on Lens sounds pretty smart, ngl. It’s like putting a lock on the door and only certain keyholders can enter. But what’s the process like? Are people really encrypting media before uploading to IPFS? I’m curious how seamless it is for non-techies.

That's a solid question. Haven't seen much about token gating on Lens myself, but encrypting before IPFS sounds interesting. Might dig around to see if anyone's experimenting with it. Have you come across any examples or devs talking about it?

            • I've been super curious about this too! Imagine the possibilities for exclusive game content or special in-game items. Could be a game-changer for indie devs like us. Anyone know if there’s a straightforward way to implement it yet?

              • Not sure about token gating on Lens yet, but man, encrypting media before IPFS upload sounds 🔥! Imagine the layers of security we could add to protect exclusive content. Anyone here have any examples of this being used? Could take privacy and exclusivity to the next level. 🌐💿

Hm, token gating on Lens sounds kinda next-level, right? Imagine if we could encrypt our eco-videos before uploading them. Keeping those pristine forest shots exclusive would be a game-changer. What do you think would be the biggest challenge? The tech or getting the community on board with it?

Token gating on Lens sounds like a game-changer for content creators, honestly. Imagine being able to control access to your content on such a granular level. Haven't come across any examples yet myself, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time with how fast things are evolving. Any devs on here working on features like that? Would love to see some real-world examples.

Yo, that's actually a dope question. I'd think the whole point of decentralized systems like IPFS is security and openness, but adding an extra layer of encryption before upload sounds clutch for premium content. Ever tried any specific tools for that yourself? Could be cool to crowdsource the best practices here.

                        • Yo, token gating on Lens could be 🔥! I’d be super into it, especially if it means controlling who gets to see those exclusive shots I capture. Would make sharing those epic surf moments way more special if only my closest peeps could see ‘em. Wonder if there’s an easy way to integrate that without making it a tech headache 🤔. Any devs got tips on this?

                          • Yo, this is actually pretty intriguing! 🔍 Honestly, it sounds super dope if we can have token gating that tight. I mean, encrypting media before hitting IPFS could level up the exclusivity game. Kinda curious, have you seen any projects already doing something similar?

                            • Hey, that's an interesting thought. Token gating could be a game-changer for premium content on Lens. 🌐 I’ve been curious about how it might work with IPFS encryption. Have you seen any projects experimenting with this? Imagine the potential for exclusive art drops or private therapy sessions. 🔐🖼️

Hmm, not sure if there are any native solutions for encryption in Lens Protocol yet. I remember there was some talk about integrating that kind of feature a while back, but nothing solid has dropped as far as I know. You might wanna check out some third-party tools for encrypting stuff before uploading to IPFS for now. Anyone else have more updated info on this?

                                • Yo, I've been wondering the same thing! Token gating would be a game-changer for content creators. Imagine securing your work before it hits IPFS, that's next-level stuff. 🧐 Anyone here actually tried encrypting media for this? Feels like it could really shake up how we handle digital assets.

                                  • Are we talking like NFT-style access control for content? 🤔 Super curious because I've been diving into different token use cases. Could be a game-changer for exclusive content on blockchain! 🔗✨ What do y'all think?

                                    • Hey, yeah, token gating is already a thing with Lens. I tried it for some behind-the-scenes studio content. Had to figure out the encryption part tho, kinda tricky but worth it for exclusive drops. Have you experimented with it yet?

                                      • Haven't seen it yet but that'd be dope. Esp for exclusive content or creators wanting control over their stuff. Anyone know if it's on the roadmap?

                                        • Yo, good question! Not sure about Lens specifically, but I know some platforms are playing around with similar concepts. Imagine a world where only your NFT holders get to see your exclusive content—kinda wild but dope at the same time, right? 🤯 Anyone here actually used token gating on IPFS or nah? Let's hear those experiences! 👀

                                          • Oh, that's a solid idea! Token gating content with encryption sounds like a game-changer for creators. I haven't seen it implemented on Lens yet, but it could really up the security game and add exclusive layers for followers. Anyone tried doing anything similar yet?
