Alimo weekly recap 8/23/24 /alimo
hey friends** **happy Friday! Wahoooo! What a week. Well, every week is a 'what a week' with something 馃槈
Wedding season is dooone bay-bee. All my friends are happily married (which I love) and so fun seeing all my people together celebrating. This past week I was in Santa Rosa, CA in the forest partying with my friends while they tied the knot. It was beautiful.
Come Sunday, woke up super early...and hungover to drive to SFO airport to catch a flight. Got there on time and of course, delay. I swear my luck flying this year is chaos with how many delays i've had here. My noon flight pushed to 5:30 pm (in retro could have been on the river relaxing). Landed in NYC at 5:30 am the following day. LOL. Another fun 24 hour flight. Comical at this point.
Got to NYC and now settling in my new apartment all week. I love it. The new place is out in Greenpoint and really nice to chill and prep for all these projects. I've been on the road so much it's been taxing on productivity when it comes to physical painting.
That being said, met with a few studio tours and just locked in a new space 10 min walk from my apartment. UNREAL.
New studio is next door to where my solo show was last year at Ilegal Mezcal. I honestly can't believe the location right on the water with this studio. I'm sharing it with a new friend that runs a annual lifestyle/photo/art book. Really dope space! High ceilings, nice walls, light, and within my budget that doesn't break the bank.
Weekly Recap:
-In NYC!! New apartment is feeling great. A dope space, fully dialed in with all you need. I just need to snag a few plants for my room
-New studio locked in! I move in on Sept 1st to get going on projects. Yes...that means all the commissions i'm backed up on Thanks for your patience
-I got invited to be in the Canal Street Art Show late September in NYC
-Rich Caldwell project late December as well
-Indo project
-Getting settled in and not living on a airplane!
