This fact is only limited to my close circle of friends but in my previous life, I used to be a landscape photographer, specifically focusing on capturing the beauty of the Himalayas on lens (pun intended). The Himalayas are home to me since my lineage hails from these mountains + I have a few older friends who were landscape photographers, so their influence and creative eye definitely rubbed off on me when I was in high school.

I started developing my own niche, one that showcased landscapes in a moody/dreamy light. I guess the seeds of those influences were sown via my exposure to various Scandinavian photographers (like Konsta Punkka, Jaako Kahalaniemi, et al) that captured the marvellous Scandinavian terrain, each of them dipped in their own special sauce. That, plus having lived in Finland and being exposed to the works of some of these photographers first-hand was a big stimulus for how I developed my own sauce. Over time, I started experimenting with various other terrain formats beyond just the Himalayas, right from plateaus to urban design. It was a beautiful escape for me to discover new places and reimagine and publish them in my own peculiar way. It kinda saddens me now that photography is no longer a crucial part of my life, but it was wonderful while it lasted!

I have a whole catalog lying around and I am keen to share it with the Lens photography community!
