The initial idea for this project was basically just a fan club with some Web3 gimmicks.
Our current direction is much more unique.

As a kid, I was captivated by Casper David Friedrich’s masterpiece – Wander Above the Seafog – and hung a print of the painting behind my bedroom door.
A few years ago when I started working at The Block, I bought my first (and only) NFT — a wassie – photoshopped it into the scene, and used it as my twitter banner.
Last night, I spent more time than I care to admit creating this GIF to celebrate the public launch of @theblockcommunity 🎉
I believe Web3 social networks hold vast amounts of potential, even if some of the possibilities are concealed beneath the clouds (aka pump.fun 😂).
I can’t wait to start exploring the opportunities of this exciting new design space with you all next week!
